Looking out of windows in room onto back of property -view was not very nice.

Thank you for your review - under the circumstances it was quite a good one as my poor husband is having to run the place single-handed as im out of action following major spinal surgery, i feel he has done a fantastic job honouring the bookings that were made before i had my date. As for your view - you are right it is shameful next door should be condemmed and bulldozed but unfortunately it is beyond our control. Pleased that on the whole you enjoyed your stay .

The friendliness. We were welcomed as soon as we stepped through the door. Brian was so friendly, and gave us advice of what to do and what not to do.
Dislikes:
Could do with a lick of paint here and there, but overall, it was fine.

Glad you enjoyed your stay = bit puzzled over the 3 out of 5 for value - £15 bed and breakfast sounds like a bargain to me and yes you could be right about the lick of paint - as soon as i recover from my major spinal surgery and can help bry in the running again - he can revert to his profession of painting and decorating - it has been such a busy year and my op couldnt have come at a worse time - but thank you for your honesty .

The Glenbarrie is a clean, tidy, friendly, cheerful, family run guesthouse. We have a small bar, cosy guest lounge with an open fire for all to enjoy. Breakfast is of the highest standard - you shouldnt need to eat again unil at least 3pm. Situated one minute from Central Pier, close to the town with a wealth of fashion shops, clubs, pubs and tourist attractions.
Enjoying an excellent central location in Blackpool, the Glenbarrie makes a good base when visiting Blackpool. The seafront is less than 5 minutes away. Once there you can stroll the promenade to Pleasure Beach or the other piers and Blackpool Tower. The town centre with its shops, bars & restaurants is easily accessible as is the Winter Gardens theatre. The Glenbarrie is licensed and give offer late keys and sell V.I.P. wristbands £5 which give tremendous savings to those that are pubbing and clubbing - including free entry to the Syndicate as well as dozens more.
There is limited on-street parking backed up by a car park 100 meters away.
We are available for group bookings, we sleep 30. You can book the entire place for parites, weddings etc. we will lay on buffets if requested.
PLEASE NOTE: Check In is from 12 noon to 22:00. Check out is by 10:00, but we are flexible and can arrange check in or out with you. We are a no smoking accommodation. Regrettably we cannot accept pets. Children are welcome. PLEASE NOTE DUE TO RECENT EVENTS - BALANCE PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE IN CASH ON ARRIVAL.
